2016 Silverado -Sunroof and Sliding Back window wont work

Hey Guys, I did a search and couldn't really find anything.

I have a 2016 Silverado LTZ, it keeps popping the F2DL fuse. This fuse is for the power sliding rear window, power sunroof and this stupid wireless charge plate!

Yesterday I changed the fuse, started the truck, sun roof opened and closed fine, back window opens and closes fine... (can't remember if I opened the center console or not). Left the sunroof In the vent position, came out a few hours later and the fuse had popped again!

Installed a new fuse, lowered the sunroof and pulled the fuse out.

My question I guess, is anyone else having issues like this?? Wondering if the wires on the charge plate are shorting out, maybe a broken wire?

Anyone have instructions on taking the center console apart to find the charge plate wires. Figure if I take it out of the loop maybe the sunroof and back window will work.

Hard to believe nobody has had this issue.

Thanks to LERBUD and some digging the problem is the wiring harness between the charging plate and the connector at the back of the console.

Unplugged the charger, replaced the fuse... sunroof works now!

I unplugged the charger at the console. Replaced fuse and my sunroof and rear window still do not work. Are there any other suggestions?

Same problem... Noticed the green and black wires to the wireless charger are cut from the console hinge. Fuses on the passenger side check out fine for the sunroof and sliding window but they still don't work. Dealer says the charger is not on the same circuit and they want $450 to try and locate the short.

Figured it out. Reread ZR's post - Corey the fuse is on the driver side panel - #2 - SEO RAP (10A). That one was blown in my truck. Replaced it and everything seems to work fine (except the charger is still unplugged but it wouldn't charge my phone anyway).

MeanDad I did that and it still does not work. Even tried a 15A fuse and it blew also. I will keep trying.

I am experiencing the same problem , blown out fuse for rear slider and charging pad does not work . I Think ill unplug the charging pad and see if solves the problem .

So I've been watching this post, Two weeks ago I bought a 2016 LTZ with power sunroof from a local dealer. After inspecting the truck I noticed that the power sunroof and power rear slider didn't work. The truck still has factory warranty till June of this year, so it's the dealers problem. There were a couple of issue's that I wanted fixed under warranty and they agreed and ordered the parts. So I pick my truck up two days ago and the dealer said it was all fixed including sunroof and slider. Before I get out of dealership my sunroof wont close and no power again to rear slider. It's after hours for tech shop so I leave it there inside and explain that the only thing I did after opening the sunroof is put stuff from rental back in my center console. I also mentioned this post that I've been reading, So with that info the tech confirmed the charging pad, sunroof, and power slider are on the same main feed. If you unplug the charging it will still blow main fuse because of a short in the wiring harness. You have to replace the harness or open it up and find the short. Thanks to this post the GM tech found the problem easily and quick. I can post the part # for the harness if anyone needs it.

I unplugged harness at charging plate, fuse still popping. Do i need to unplug it farther back, remove console to unplug it? Would love part number to replace. Thanks

Dr kadrock, sorry for the delay in response. Yes you have to go farther back on the harness and unplug to stop it from shorting to ground. Part number for the harness that needs to be replaced is 23124536 24800. Also the schematic document ID number that the tech used to identify the problem is #4232357. Hope this helps you.
