08 GMC 5.3 JBA Header gasket Problem

Hey guys i have a 08 GMC 5.3. I just put on shorty JBA Headers, i can hear it tick from the driver side, im pretty sure its a leak because ive heard the gaskets that come with headers suck. Should i use the factory gaskets to get it to seal? Thanks.
