GM Pickup with a Console Shifter ?

Recommended Posts

What are your feelings about a console shifter ?

I like the look of the "other" trucks with it. Definitely has a more sporty look (to me).

My current SLT already has the huge console without a shifter available ...

Would plowing snow be easier or more difficult ? D to R and R to D ...

My friend said it would just waste more space but that space usually just has some junk stored there anyway +-

Any idea why GM does not offer it ?

I wonder if some people bought the "other"  truck because of the shifter  location (for  looks or use or  ...) ?

Would you prefer a console shifter over the column shifter ?

I would try / buy it if they offered it.

My console always has a collection of 'stuff' in it.

Most is stuff I want in the truck, that wouldn't have any other good home.

I'm definitely a shifter on the column vote.

But I would like to be able to move the drink tray and access the area under it,  like on the 2015 1500's (and others, I assume)

Column for me. I plow and don’t think I would like it any other way. Wouldn’t mind them sending my hi-low beam back to the floor either. I’m sure by now they could make a switch for the floor that wouldn’t rust away.

I prefer column, but would take a console if it was all that was offered. However, if all that was offered was a dial, then I'd not buy that truck...

+1 on the dial
