I had preivioisly done this modification to my 2008 Z71, once it’s all done you gain 2 1/2 inches of clearance ... don’t feel like dropping $2500 or so on a lift.. down the road i may switch to a 4 1/2 zone lift . But I’m not kidding when I say on normal city driving I have zero rubbing.. but once the suspension droops it will hit ... the NorCal mod should eliminate that though

These are 285/65/18 on 18x9 with a +12 offset. Truck has a 2” leveling kit.  With -12 wheels, the tires would stick out another 24mm which is almost 1”(25.4mm).
