install roof marker lights?

i am new to this forum but i am wanting to install factory roof marker lights to my 02' 2500HD. i have already bought the factory lights with the wiring harness from my local chevy dealer, but i am having a hard time getting installation directions or any helpful hints in installing them. does anyone have any experience installing these lights or any suggestions where i might find help in installing these lights.

I know at least one guy here has done that mod... For the life of me I can't remember who though. I hope they catch this thread and help you out.

This is another one of those projects that needs to be placed in the Articles/Coverage section. Here is the thread:

This is a take your time, grab a ruler and grease marker pen, and be patient. It is an easy project, but go slow. Just one note on those little plastic blocks. Obviously, most of us don't have the tool to mount these blocks as the factory does, but don't leave them out. They provide a good amount of spacing to keep undue pressure off of the plastic.

Also after getting the holes correctly drilled, and when it is time to mount, use toothpicks in the holes to keep everything lined up. It helps. Don't worry if a toothpick falls in. Surely it won't hurt anything.
