2015+ Tahoe Center Console in 2014+ Silverado?

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

Saw on my local Craigslist a guy selling a factory LTZ console from a Tahoe, and the base looks like it would swap great in place on my factory bench. I realize some wiring modifications would be needed, and I'd probably have to order the side trim, correct? Any information would be of great help! He's wanting $250 for the Tahoe setup, does that seem like a fair price?

Try to find the part numbers on gmpartsdirect.com and cross reference if tbey have the same number. I have a 15 suburban and a 14 silveradow and they do look similar

It will not fit. The shape is totally different. It won’t mate up to your dash at all

I believe you're correct.... To the OP, just look for one from a Silverado or Sierra.... Having had trucks both ways, there are advantages to both bench and center console with IMO the bench seat being more versatile.... I can't say that one is superior over the other without considering one's needs but, I do like the center console in my Silverado but, I miss the 3 cup holder setup and the lockable storage below the middle seat from my last truck...

I recently posted the following in reply to a question asking if a Suburban console would fit (Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon consoles are the same)

I looked into one of those as well and after careful comparison I noticed the rear is very similar however the front section is different. Note that the side wood trim attaches to the console on the Suburban however a different shaped trim attaches to the upper tray on the Silverado. I thought if you removed that side trim the tray would fit on top however other pictures I saw show the inside is different and the slots are not there for the Silverado tray . Also, if you look closely at the front under the dash you'll notice the slots for the side trim clips are in different locations.

Okay, thanks guys for the reply. I found a full setup from a Silverado on eBay for $440, looks like that'll be cheaper than buying the dash side pieces. I don't mind the bench, I just hate that huge dead space in the middle between the dash and the seat. I'm a younger single guy in his 20's, and I've never had more than 4 in my double cab. Could've gotten away with a regular, but the double cab was cheaper.

That right there is why you should keep the bench, you know how easy it is for a lady friend to slide on over... Also being 6'5 on road trips it is nice to set cruise and put my leg up there, tons more room. Going forward I would much prefer the bench, it is easier for me since I don't like leather (especially the ones they put in trucks) and benches seem to be more the norm with cloth which I like.
