Anzo Lighted Tailgate Spoiler

Recommended Posts

Was wondering if anyone has/had this and can share their experience. I like the idea but seen mixed reviews.

Two things seem to sick out from the reviews:

1.) It seems as though you cannot remove the factory tailgate cap without damaging it past the point of being able to re-install it. So if you ever need to go back to stock, you need to order a new OEM cap.

2.) The LEDs on the Anzo cap seem to burn out rather frequently - at least according to the reviews on one site.

Seems like a neat idea to me. Kind of like the "LineOf Fire" thing from years ago except this time it's up and in the air in everyone's view.

I have had the line of fire things in the past and been happy with them. Whenever I traded the truck, that stayed with the truck. No way was I going to take it off for a few bucks.

How much is this one? I didn't see mention of the price.

I can find them starting at around $180 and up. I already have the LED bar for under the tailgate and figured this would "frame" everything out nicely. I haven't installed that yet, I was waiting to get the tailgate cap and wire everyting up all at once to save having to pull the lights out twice. But looking at the online reviews of the product seems mixed - some people haven't had a problem while others have had LEDs burn out in a few months.
