Fluid film

Recommended Posts

Hey I have 2017 and before the snow flies I was thinking of coating the frame with fluid film, has anyone used this product and does it react negatively with the factory undercoating. For that matter is it any good thanks

Makes that wax wipe right off. Get a can of the Daubert NoxRust 121-B (the wax stuff GM uses) to touch up the frame, and Fluid Film inside the bumpers, inner bed sheetmetal, behind the tail lights, etc.

fluid film works great to keep the plow from rusting over summer. I use a can each spring.

Some guys spray it on the underbody, but I think that's for when the factory coating is already gone. I've heard it can be rough on rubber too. Best to keep it on steel parts only.

As stated above, use Fluid Film on everything BUT the frame and rubber parts. It works great on the floors, inside the box sides, bumpers, under the hood on fasteners, inside the tailgate- pretty much everything that is painted or plated.
