Chrome Moulding Removal

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Looking for pics with the chrome molding removed, I circled the part I am talking about in the pic below (disregard my childish circle drawing skills). Taking off the Silverado letters this week, and am thinking of pulling off that molding as well. Thanks in advance.

Alright, I'm sold, thanks for the pics guys. Country_09 did you take off the chrome window molding as well? The black looks good. I like that you guys kept the chrome handles and mirror caps as well.

I thought of removing this too when I de-badged my truck. I decided to keep them on as a) they are colour matched and don't pop as much as the chrome does and b) I felt they gave a little more definition to the body of the truck.

To each their own though.

Come to think it, mine didn't have the chrome moldings there when I bought it. Don't know why, but I'm glad. I like it without em

Yea, if you cover shipping, I'll send them to you no problem, not sure how much it's gonna be, but I can't imagine it'll be much. Shoot me a message.

Yea I like it better without them as well, I like some of the chrome parts, but some stuff is a little bit overboard for me.

How hard is it to remove and do you have alot of residue afterward to clean up?

I used fishin string and an eraser wheel from O'Reilly's. 30 minutes of your time and then some elbow grease and wax in the end to finish it off. Lil bit of residue but nothin that didn't come off
