How many people smoke (legal stuff) in their new truck?

That's pretty funny. Always some douche like that guy in the vape shops. I absolutely despise going in them. I consider going back to real cigarettes daily...but, then I think about how much money I save, and that I don't smell like a bonfire all the time.

It's better for your health not to smoke cigarettes. Old you will thank you

I don't smoke. Never really did. Some experimenting as a young teen. I watched my father die from cancer in the 80s. He was one of the people that didn't believe it could happen to him. He quit cold turkey when he was diagnosed. It was too late. It was incredibly painful for him when his bones literally fell apart inside him. I am 61 and won't let anyone smoke in my vehicles to this day. I don't even like letting people into my vehicles that smoke. The smell lingers until I clean the interior.

One thing about living in California, relatively low percentage of the population smokes here. When I travel, I really notice this.

I bought my '99 Silverado in '02. The previous, original owner was a smoker, but probably not a heavy one? There was a burn mark on the seat, and a burn mark on the front bumper (how?). But I had that truck from '02 until '08, and they're still be days when I'd get in and get that mixture of vanilla Christmas tree and cigarette smoke.

I've always been fairly sensitive to cigarette smoke, or at least notice it easily. But yuck!

Nope, quit the things over 5 years ago. And the only thing worse then a smoked in interior is one who smokes cigars, we have a couple of techs who do so after their shift and their company trucks smells so god damn bad i cant even drive the things anymore, every inch is covered in a layer cigar smoke, nasty stuff!

Yea, but what happens if "old you" forgets to thank "now you", because he is old? That could mean "now you" could have smoked all of those years. Ahhhhh, this is a tough decision......

Don't smoke from a tin can or tinfoil and you'll have less chance of getting Alzheimer's. Lol

Hmmm, that sounds like an old Canadian wives tale. So, in Canada, do you pour your cereal into the bag of milk? Since I hope it comes in a box, or maybe sold there just in bulk and bought by the handful?

I got started smoking courtesy of our beloved Government when I was a young whipper snapper doing my bit for Uncle in the wonderful vacation spot of SE Asia. They handed out cigarettes like candy and we even had little 4 cigarette packs in our C Rations. The time was moments of shear terror interspaced with periods of shear boredom. Made for the perfect conditions to pick up smoking.

But like some others, I have been on the vape thing for quite a few years now. Much better alternative. And I did some research on nicotine. It actually has some very beneficial qualities. The only problem was the delivery system... smoking. Scientists hadn't really studied nicotine in and of itself until patches, gums, vapes, etc showed up. Many in the medical community are wanting FDA approval to use nicotine for medicinal purposes to treat a wide variety of conditions. Look up benefits of nicotine on a web search.

But it is a lot better deal to not smoke in my vehicles now. Never realized, when I was smoking, how nasty a vehicle interior can be when polluted with a bunch of cigarette smoke. While I am not repulsed when I smell someone smoking, I do notice it from quite a ways off now and have no desire to light up ever again. Vaping is substantially cheaper. I get most of my vape stuff online at some pretty low pricing. Always a sale going on somewhere. Compare a bottle of E juice that lasts about as long as a carton of smokes... $2.49 for the E juice vs $50 or more for a carton. I'll do the vape thing.

Just a whimper from what's left of the big tobacco propaganda machine akin to the "more doctors recommend" nonsense from the 1950s. Nicotine is a poison and should be classified the same as heroin and cocaine.

If you don't believe me apply a little nicotine to your favorite insect then report back.

Yeah, well if I cover a tick or a leech with salt it will kill it to, but try living without salt.

There are many medical reports showing nicotine is beneficial for diabetic's blood flow in extremities. It has shown effective in treating Parkinson's and Altheimers symptoms. And several other conditions. Medicine had never really looked at nicotine in and of itself until patches, gums, etc with nicotine alone were studied.

And nicotine is multi plant sourced. You just have issues to overcome regarding your irrational loathing of tobacco growers. Whatever you do, don't eat any tomatoes or tomato by products.

No that's fine, I don't want to fight but when the "medical community" mentions the "C" word I think your opinion will be changed. And remember the "tobacco settlement" protects big tobacco from litigation. No other industry on earth has this type of protection.
