I'm not an expert, but I think it's about 4 quarts. Seems like a lot, though.

If you have a flush done then 16qts is what is needed for the filling of the flush machine so that it has a good amount to get 100% flushed through.

 

That is the amount the Dealer wanted me to bring in when I had them flush mine.

6qts with the factory deep pan, 5 qts with the regular pan.

My 95 took 5 quarts when I took off the pan and replaced the filter.
