2011 2500hd 6.0 tuning

Recommended Posts

I have a 2011 2500hd 6.0. Trucks lifted 8 inches with 37s on it. When I bought it, it had 38x15.50 on it. I dropped it down to 37x12.50 as I got the tires cheap and the 38s were shot. The truck has a k&n intake already on it (from when I bought it) and I believe it has some sort of tune in it already. The speedo was dead accurate with the 38s and now it is little fast with the 37s. Also the trans shifts firm. My question is, I'm looking to get a tuner for it. Was thinking sct, or bully dog for the display. But I'm also thinking about doing the black bear and going all custom. With my truck already possibly having a tune in it (no tuner) how would that work? Would I need to have the truck flashed to factory before I can get a tuner? Also with the black bear, can you adjust for tire sizes as well as axle ratios like you can on other programmers? Or does black bear have to do that? Reason being, I'm going to go to 37x13.50x22 when I get new wheels and tires. And down the road I will be regearing the truck to 5.13 as I believe the stock 3.73 are still in it.
