Front hubs and Wheels

Recommended Posts

I have an 85 Blazer with a 4 inch lift and 35's

This questions is how hot should the hub get? I always remember them getting warn, but if I drive now for 30 mins or so at 70ish. The wheel and hubs are almost to hot to touch... I changed the wheel bearings in one side to see if there was any difference and it's not much cooler

Is this normal??

Here are a couple pic of the truck...

When was the last time the front wheel bearings were repacked with fresh grease. I have seen wheel bearings fry after 40k miles with out being repacked. It should be done approx every 30k miles, unless the vehicle is used heavily off-road, then it should be more often. If this doesn't get done, it might end up more that fried wheel bearings. It could run into damaged hubs and fubared spindles.
