Does your truck dent easily

Recommended Posts

The body metal is thin.

My 93 Chevy sat outside all the time. Went through many hail storms in 20 years.

Not one body dent.

This 2012 I could dent with a knuckle tap.

Mine had several tiny dings when it was new from the dealer. (Couple months ago) it was on the driver's side as if it were peppered with hail or small stones. No paint damage, just dings.

It's amazing what the dealer's PDR guy did. Not a trace left! Not a single wave! Nothing! Even with my truck's black mirror like shine...nothing visible.

I was leary about the purchase of the truck, but they assured me the dings will be gone...and they are!

So, to the OP...do yourself a favor, stop losing sleep over it and get in touch with a good PDR guy. You'll be amazed.

The metal is too thin.  I put a dent on my cab trying to remove a bird poop stain with some light pressure and polishing compound.  And since I live in Northern CA, my truck is always covered in ash from the fires.  I was trying to thoroughly wash the top of my crew cab.  Standing in the bed, I reached over the back window to try and wash the cab and with my left arm I very lightly supported my self  on the angled rails of the cab.  Guess what?  A large shallow dent!  Needleless to say I got pissed and worked at them for an hour or so with several orange harbor freight suction cups.  I pulled them out 95% of the way, but still pretty cheesy if you ask me.  And I'm by no means a big guy. 5' 7" 180 lbs.
