what do you use to clean exhaust tips?

Recommended Posts

just bought a borla exhaust("s" type side exit), had local shop install it & the exhaust tip was touching the rubber piece under back fender & melted on the exhaust tip, i have used carb cleaner in the past, just wondering what others use? thanks

Ya, I'd have the local shop fix that. They obviously messed up when installing it, as it shouldn't be touching the rubber.

I use California purple polish(https://www.amazon.com/California-Custom-Purple-Metal-Polish/dp/B004MNKM9A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1493815448&sr=8-2&keywords=purple+polish) the stuff is amazing. I was detailing a semi, brought my polishes, and they were working ok, and the client asked if I wanted to try this stuff. I couldn't believe how well it worked. Tried finding it 2 years ago, but no luck. Recently they added it to amazon and picked it up in an instant. I used it on my tips, and its just as good as I remember.
