Cabin Air Filter?

Hello,

 

My dad has a 2012 Silverado 1500 and he mentioned he doesn't think it has a cabin air filter. Is this true? Or is it located in the same place as mine on my '15 Silverado in the glove box?

Correct. 2007-2013 don't have one installed from the factory. GM does sell a retrofit kit though. To be more inclusive, 2003-2013 don't have a cabin air filter.

Rock Auto has a Dorman kit also.

That one I put into my Tahoe

I was not even aware of this kit until now. I will definitely be installing it, too. Always irked me that they left the cabin air filter out of these vehicles.
