hey all, i finally got some time and cleaned up my factory wheels and decided to post them up for sale as i will most likly never use them again. they were taken off when the truck had 1200 miles , so the wheels and tires are in really good condition, no curb rash or damage that ive seen anywhere on any of the wheels. the tires have been deflated and TPMS sensors removed as i needed them on the new wheels, so they wont have any tpms sensors inside. price - 2400

No way. $55-60 per wheel.

Cardboard front and back, wrap them, and drop off at FEDEX. I ship wheels all the time.

I just had someone ship me midnight edition black rims this way. Total disaster. The cardboard rubbing against rims left rub marks/scuffs in the clear coat finish. I would advise putting something like blue painters tape on the rims first before putting the cardboard down and wrapping them.

Yeah that's a problem. Usually the cardboard extends well into the widest part of the tire therefore it shouldn't touch the face of the wheel. But a finish like that would be a good idea to wrap the wheel prior to cardboard. Good point!

The guy that shipped it was a moron then.

You gotta put foam in between the face of the wheel and the heavy duty cardboard.

I've shipped a bunch of wheel/tire combos and never an issue. I've also bought many wheel/tire combos from Tire dealers and that's exactly how they ship them. Put foam between the wheel and the cardboard then they put strapping around it. Since i don't have a strap machine I wrap them in heavy duty shipping tape. Never once an issue.

But only a dimwit would put the cardboard directly onto the face of the wheel.

Shipping costs will be $50-75 per wheel/tire combo depending on weight and size.

The 22 inch wheels and tires are quite heavy so I'd imagine closer to $75 per wheel/tire combo.

But without sensors in there and no air in the tires, wouldn't advise shipping.

Sensors are relatively cheap, not worth taking them out of the stock wheels only to make it a PITA for someone else.

You're getting raped if you're paying $500-700 to ship a set of wheels with tires. Yikes!

yea thats way to much, the cost to get it to like new york is 300 bucks from cali, to middle of US its 150 and so on.
