Planning on purchasing a code reader soon, what is your personal preference for brand? any type to stay away from?

Spent around $12 for mine and the Torque Pro APP for Android. Works great.

Bluetooth ELM327 adapter $6.99 no postage and Torque Pro APP for Android would be cheap choice.

GM Tech II clone 50 to 50 change

I have both and use Torque Pro a lot, I use the Tech II mostly for programming FOBs and change of tire size or pressure so TPMS alarms stop chiming.
