2017 GMC Sierra 1500: Surge, Hesitation, Chuggle, Misfire, Feeling wit

im going through similar crap with my high country now. I guess im going to have to go the lemon law route.

I could care less what brand I drive. once one brand screws me over and wastes this much of my time, they don't deserve my business. good thing there are other brands out there. at least the ford and dodges have some balls. chevy transmission tuning from factory is a joke. takes a $600 warranty voiding tune to fix it. I cant believe people pay $50k for these sh!tboxes and find that acceptable

That's where I'm at; being brand loyal to GM is why I loathe my truck every day after only 5 months and 11k miles. Unfortunately, nothing is bad enough [yet] to be lemon-law or buy-back worthy, but we'll see in time; for now, I'm stuck with it. It shook like crazy, but that actually resolved itself; the front driveshaft still has lateral and vertical motion at the transfer case, but the dealer says it is "within GM spec". Currently, it needs a new passenger headlight assembly and tailgate latch, under warranty. It's the little things about how it's put together, the sum being less than the total of the parts. From test driving others within 4 months of buying this turd, the Ram definitely drives the best.

Gm makes the best looking truck hands down but the function leaves much to be desired. My hvac controls have started going nuts and regardless of what the display they do whatever they want and change on there own while driving. I still have some goofy tranny problems, while not as bad they still exist. It's upsetting to say the least. I'm just glad I didn't go out and get a $70k truck and have these problems

Hope you have as good of luck with it as I did my 2008 Titan. I would get another one in a heartbeat if it checked all my boxes.

I drove a 2012 Titan as a rental on a work trip once. I have to say it was a pleasant to drive.

Any updates on this..... my '17 is doing this and I thought it was just the tranny learning but obviously not...

If your '17 is doing it, get the TSB mentioned earlier in this thread done. I had it done a couple of months ago, and between that and using a Range unit to keep the truck in v8 mode, the problem is 95% fixed.

Still an occasional chuggle, but not like it was before.

Range unit? Also, keeping it in V8 all the time will crap up your fuel economy.
