I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 with the Premium DL3 mirrors and I would like to upgrade to the Full Function Power folding Tow Mirrors from A1 Auto. I've read just about ever post in this thread and it appears all I need is your custom wire harness to get all the features I currently have now. Is this true and if so, how can I order your harness? I see where it says PM you, but where? Thanks,  :-)

Sort of :). Since you’re 2014, there will be the additional requirement of the RZY Jumper Harness - Part # 23347133. Then, my harnesses will be effective.

GM didn’t land the tow mirror light circuits (cargo Lamp and running Lamp) to the door jamb.

Here is a video that shows this detail.

WOW....that's an awful lot of work to make this plug and play    LOL

Yup. On mid year 2015 and on, GM decided to land these circuits at the door jamb. So for those owners, it is Plug and Play. Still plug and play for 2014-2015 :) after RZY is installed.

I guess “Plug and Play” can be referred to as not needing any special programming.

OK, let me think about this more to make sure this is really what I want to go through......  LOL ..... it's not that I can't do it, I'm very mechanically inclined, I just didn't want to tear the truck half apart to do it.... LOL....I'll be in touch ...... Thanks  :-)

I have a 2014 Silverado and am looking to upgrade mirrors. I have come across a pair of dl3 mirrors off a 2016 duramax. Would these work plug and play with your harness?

Yes. But read the first post for the 2014 workaround for the Puddle Lamp. You’ll need a diode.. but I supply that.

Awesome. I did read the part about needing the diode to have the puddle lamps work properly. I will be in touch about ordering the harnesses. Just out of curiosity. Does it matter that these mirrors have the temp sensor in the passenger mirror?

***PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT***

There has been a rash of issues reported just in the last couple of days surrounding upgrading to Tow Mirrors.  The symptoms that have been reported are ALL THE SAME.  Driver Side Running Lamp blowing a fuse.

***UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE*** - I will suspend any recommendation to the Power Fold Tow Mirrors by 1A Auto/AM Auto - Specifically, the "Memory" mirrors Part 1AMRP01786.  ANY Mirror from either company that has "Memory" and "Puddle" listed is the SAME mirror.

The trucks that are reporting the issue are all higher trim trucks with Seat Memory (2015 and 2016).  The lighting works fine until the door panel is plugged in.  Then the Running Lamp fuse (Fuse #29 Under the Hood) is blown.  For ANYONE else that has purchased these mirrors exhibit an issue, PLEASE let me know!

You are able to unplug the Power Fold Switch, plug the door panel, and it functions fine.  So something with the Seat Memory system AND/OR these specific mirrors on this build are causing the driver side running lamp to blow.  The temp fix right now is to OMIT the running lamp circuit.

***2nd NOTICE***

2 other members are reporting an issue with the Passenger Side Mirror not power folding in/out.  This is on an GM OEM Mirror and NOT related to 1A Auto/AM Auto Mirror.  We think this may be due to a Seat Memory Module calibration.  I am working with WAMS on this to see if they can figure something out on the Memory Module, so stay tune on this issue.

Thank you all for your business and support!  I will provide updates to this once I have it.  I have already reached out to the Manufacture Directly for some answers to any manufacture revision changes.

Thanks,

Phil

i have been reading through numerous pages and blogs for the issue I have an have not found anything on it. I thought I would see if you might be able to point me in the right direction. I recently purchased a 2015 2500 Denali with the DQS optioned mirrors, all functions of the mirrors (heat, memory adjust, power food, puddle lamp, red mirror led turn signals) work but the amber park and turn signals on the fronts of both mirrors do not work in any fashion.

Many he’ll on where to start looking would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Did you have turn signals working on the previous mirrors before? Did you change any harnesses in the process?

This is how I bought it, I haven’t changed anything on it. They were not working when I bought it.

Then most likely, the person before you just installed the mirrors but didn't change out the door harnesses.  Depending if you are an early 2015 or mid year 2015, there may be more work involved than just changing the door harness.  We can certainly investigate this.  But in a case where tow mirrors are installed, door harnesses are usually needed.  Please see first post of this thread.

I just picked up a set of aftermarket DPN tow mirrors second hand. My truck is a 14 Sierra 1500 SLT with DL3 mirrors. I know I'll need the RZY harness as well as your DIY door harnesses to get the marker lights and cargo lights to work but i have another issue. after installing the new mirrors, my turn signal will turn on both sides signals on the mirrors and in the headlights but not the tail lights on the bed.If I unplug either mirror, my signals work correctly on the other mirror and headlights.  Could this be an incorrect pin layout in the connector?
