I just wanted to thank Phil for being the real MVP on this topic! I wish I researched a little more before I trusted the dealer. (It would have saved about a months worth of hassle and time). He confirmed part numbers and was a big help in the harnesses. I put factory DQS mirrors on my 2016 Silverado LTZ Midnight.

Upgrading my 2017 need the harness for folding option everything else is working

I answer most all questions on the first post of this thread. There are many different mirrors out. Each hanress I build is specific to year, trim, and mirror you have now and mirror you want to upgrade to.

I installed  Scitoo tow mirrors on a 2016 2500HD LT. I also had to upgrade the harnesses for the doors as well to get everything to work. Everything is now working but when the lights are on the blinker lights come on as well, then when the blinkers are activated the mirrors do not flash and the pickup light have a hyper flash issue. Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong?

This is MOST likely because the manufacture of these mirrors have the running Lamp (Amber forward facing light) AND the Turn Signal tied together inside the mirror.

The GM factory intended operation of these mirrors is to have these Run separately.

Try removing pin 1 from the mirror hanress (in both sides) and see if their resolve the Turn Signal. Then, plug pin 1 back in. Remove pin 13 and see what happens.

Pin 1 is the running Lamp
Pin 13 is the Turn Signal.

My guess is these two are connected inside the mirror.

I opted for Phil's diy harness on my truck was willing to do the work myself and saved some money that way. The write up on it is step by step took me a couple hours including taping the harness back up with proper matching harness tape. I love when the Dealerships says no way and guys like Phil smirk and get to work, thank again Phil

Question...

I purchased the gm manual tow mirrors. Power and defrost.

The mirrors i am replacing are the small power and defrost ones.

When replacing the harness will that be all i need to do? Or will I have to repin from the door back. I asked the vendor i bought the mirrors from gave my vin and he stated that i should not have to.

Vin is as follows - 1GC2KVEG3FZ512281

Yep. Just replace the mirrors and harnesses. Hoping you got the right harnesses.

Which vendor did you get them from? Have part #s to share?
