While I haven't physically had my hands on harnesses - 84125571 or 84125561, my search shows that these part #s are the newest part #s. As a matter fact, when i search for 23342727, several websites show that the updated part # (or part # that has replaced it) is 82145571. And the same for 23342716, shows that 84125561 is the updated (superseded) part #. Either of those should work for your truck.

 

I also did a check on ebay, and those part #s reference each other. So either set should work.

 

 

 

 

Thank you VERY much! So it looks like I am halfway there... now I only need the DQS mirrors. Not needing to remove both door panels and swap harnesses, I may be able to tackle this one myself.

You will need to remove your door panels to swap the mirrors. The molding that covers the mirror bolts, is underneath the door panels unfortunately.

It came with the small mirrors also and I want to upgrade them to the bigger one tow mirrors. Now, currents ones are powered fold, turn blinker, heater I guess also. What exactly is the difference btw DNP and DQS? Seems a lot of trouble with all these tow mirrors and harness. What do I actually need? Are those prices on the GM website for a pair or just one side? because I dont see the description saying otherwise left or right just Kit, assuming both. Thanks for the help in advance. DQS Mirrors only come with Chrome Caps... caps are interchangeable though.

Can't say enough about Pgamboa!!! I was referred to him by the vendor that I bought my upgraded tow mirrors from. I have a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ ext cab 5.3 gas pickup. I replaced the OEM DL3 to the DQS towing mirrors and was able to swap out harnesses with ease due to Pgamboa's detailed instructions. This was after installing the RZY harness which pgamboa's video tutorial was invaluable in assisting with the process. Thank you so very much, all of the functions on the new mirrors work like a charm!! Highly recommend Pgamboa!!

Very glad to here. I commend anyone who has to install the RZY Jumper Harness. It is a PITA to install. LOL.

 

Here is a pic of the Cargo Light on with Reverse Light. The mod occurs in the BCM. Between the brown and pink connector. It's pin 26 of the brown connector going to pin 26 of the pink connector. Stripe of the diode is towards the pink connector. Diode is 1N4004

Pgamboa thank you for your help!! I was also wondering about the mod for the front ambers on the tow mirrors to make them work with the turn signals? Also send me your address, I still have my stock door harness that I'll send you! I don't have any use for them anymore and they are just sitting in my garage.

Pgamboa was a HUGE help for me in the process! i got rid of my tiny DL8 mirrors and slapped on some aftermarket tow mirrors. I used his DIY harness and it was a breeze to install! Instructions were very clear and pictures helped a TON! He is a great resource for the project! I also had to install the RZY harness as I have a 2014. my truck was wired for turn signals already but not the running/clearance lights or cargo lights.

 

If anyone is going to attempt the RZY harness install i recommend watching pgamboa's video and having the written instructions handy, it is a massive PITA to put in. Took me about 6 hours to install that alone! Start on the drivers side first as all the BCM connections are there, when that entire side is done you can put the BCM back before wiring the passenger side.

Pgamboa was a huge help and trust me, I asked a bunch of questions. From which mirrors (aftermarket vs OEM), to pre-instasll questions, to texting him (he gave me his #) all day long about some install troubles I had. He bent over backwards to make sure that I had all the knowledge I needed. His videos are great and and his tutorials help tremendously. His harnesses work great and he's great guy to do business with and talk to!

 

If you're thinking about doing a tow mirror upgrade, he's your guy to help bring clarity to your decision and help you ALL along the way!
