Makes more sense once I saw the pic of the entire trim plate.

I need a switch that is $30 - $50 depending on which one I need and the mirrors.

This is what I cam up with for the mirrors. https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/gm-mirrors-trailering-chrome-23372181/?c=Zz1leHRlcmlvciZzPWFwcGVhcmFuY2UmYT1jaGV2cm9sZXQmbz1zaWx2ZXJhZG8tMjUwMC1oZCZ5PTIwMTcmdD1sdHomZT02LTBsLXY4LWZsZXg%3D

In the description it doesn't mention the features the mirror contains. $565 each! Holly cow! My take offs better be worth something. They are only a month old.

A set of DPNs will probably fetch around $400 - $500. I've seen them new on ebay between those prices. To verify which power fold switch you need, I show how to remove the trim bezel here without needing to remove the entire door panel.

Fast forward to 15:18 in the video. Once the bezel is removed, remove the connector and inspect the switch connector.

I may be completely missing it but how can I buy the custom built harness for DL8 to DL3? I have a 2014 WT2. I'm trying to add a few features so it doesn't feel so much like a stripped down work truck.

I can work with you. Need to know if you have Power Windows, Power Locks. Do you have power mirrors now?

If yes - You should be able to upgrade to DL3s.

Just wanted to share another member's upgrade.

@jpolano - 2015 Silverado, 2500HD WT, 6.0L Gas.

This member upgraded from non-power adjust (DE2) mirrors to after market tow mirrors from 1A Auto - Part # TRMRP00045. Swapped bezel trims similar to what is shown here. Now he has power adjust, Cargo Lamps, Park Lamps, and Turn Signal.

Anyone use these and had good luck. Going on a 1500 2015 LT

I haven't had my hands on any mirror outside of 1A Auto Mirrors. After looking at these, I have a few observations.

1. The seller says that these mirrors have Turn Signals but if you look at the pics, I don't see any indication of a turn Signal. I see an Amber - Park Lamp and a White - Cargo Lamp.

2. I presumed since they say "Turn Signal", that maybe the Amber - Park Lamp was wired to act as a Turn Signal. I noticed the 18-pin connector image and they have pins # 1 and pin #2 present. This tells me it's wired for Park Lamps and Cargo. Nothing present in pin #13 - which is the turn Signal circuit. I don't see how this mirror would have a turn Signal.

3. I don't see any strange assumption of hard wiring involved as all the wires seem to land into the main connector.

4. If you decide to go with these mirrors, I can make a harness that'll make the amber park lamp into a dual function park lamp and turn Signal.

Let me know if you need any more help on this.

Yes - the power adjust and heat will work with your stock harness. I'll get the two other lighting options working with my harness.

Mr. Gamboa your obsessed with this stuff...thank you for it! How many times have you taken apart your truck? NASA needs you.

LOL! I've taken my door panel apart over 100x easily! LOL.

My test rig hopefully will allow me to test harnesses, mirrors, and switches without the need to physically install them into my truck.

When I put a product out there with my name on it, I CANNOT let it go out the door without knowing and without a doubt, that it worked 100% on my truck - before shipping.

When you take the cost of the harnesses, materials, the time and research, I really don't make much here selling these.

I do this because I enjoy it. I enjoy helping people. If a mirror company sponsors me a set to try out, I'd love to. This forum has provided me with so much information and have met some great people here and locally because of this site.

Giving back where I can.

I just barely clear this in my driveway after my 2" level.

Also, 2 weeks ago while on vacation, I was in my spot at the resort and had my mirrors folded in. The van to the right beside me had the driver get out and swung her door open. It was 2 inches away from my mirror. Thank god I had it folded in! It would have been toast for sure.

That's very close and close call on the carelessness of the van. I always fold my mirrors in every chance I get.
