I haven't heard of an OEM Mirror that wasn't heated. The heating element is on the same circuit as your rear window defogger. So in order to get them to heat, you need to have the rear window defogger activated.

If you are able to, pin #8 on the mirror connector is the heating element. If the mirror is not heated, this pin would be missing.

As for mirrors, GM OEM Tow Mirrors do not have a puddle lamp. Instead, they have a Cargo Lamp (Shines rearward) for increased visibility when reversing, and a park lamp (Shines forward) as a marker/clearance lamp, and of course, a turn Signal.

There is one aftermarket mirror that these features AND a puddle lamp. This mirror is from 1A Auto - Part # 1AMRP01786.

Will check out the connector. I used my rear defogger all the time, and still don't think the mirrors did anything.

Those are the mirrors I was thinking of. Do you have a harness (DIY version) that would would make it all work?

Yes I do... however, the mirror connector from 1A Auto will require customization as well. I have done this for several members now. They order the mirror and have it drop shipped to me. I perform the work, build the harnesses, and ship to you.

PM me for more info.

Thanks!

Phil, I have 2015 Silverado, LT, 1500, Crew Cab, 5.3L Gas, no seat memory, added K-Source Tow Mirror with power adjust , turn signals, manual fold and extension. They don't have anything else. I just need to wire the turn signals, i checked and their is a #41 pin in the body side connector, no pin in the door harness connector. Can i just take a single wire from the #41 door connector and run it up to the mirror connector to fix the problem. Do you have a picture of the X510 where i need to plug the other end of the wire into. All you help would be appreciated. Thanks Mike

Pin #41 for turn Signal in the door side harness should go to Pin #13 in the mirror connector harness. The back of the mirror connector has numbering on the corners.

Hi Phil,I need the four of the crimped clips that go into slot #41 door and slot #13 on the mirror connectors. You can make them up or I can get the wire and do it myself. How do I contact you to pay for these items and give you my mailing address. Mike

You sir are a genius! Just did my upgrade from dl8 to dl3. Your harness was so well made and easy to install. Thank you for all your help! I will be returning the cores soon so you can help others with this upgrade.

Thanks again
