Exactly!

This is great news! On this note, does anyone have any tips when re-assembling the x500/x600 connectors? Now that they have been pulled apart i am having trouble getting the body side connector snapped back into place. (can not fit my hand up to apply pressure on the back side).

The access is tight for the body side connector. Try pressing the E-Brake the way in or all the way out.

The bottom of the connector goes first i think... then the top snaps in.

I'm sure you already have it back together, but for future reference. Make sure you have the cam lock handle at least 90º to the connector body. A little more is better. Then you shouldn't have to force the connectors together. Once you have them lined up, they should start together and then the cam-lock will mate them correctly.

It is a little bit of a pain getting the halves lined up correctly so that they slide together.

Thanks guys. ended up popping it back in using a long flat head screwdriver to apply pressure toe the bottom half, carefully snap that in and then the top was much easier. 10 or 12 attempts later it is back in ! Haha, i sugguest anyone checking for pins 9 and 11 do so with a cell phone camera instead of removing this connector from the body side.

Good advice. There is very little room on the body side connector.

Also, if using a mirror to inspect, and a photo is taken of the mirror image, that would be good to know too :). All of my images with pins referenced are from the perspective of looking right at it.

I had a pic taken of the mirror and it threw me off for a sec.

Just another happy customer reporting thanks and appreciation. Got mirrors installed with PnP harness. Was nervous about sending 900 dollar mirrors to a stranger but rest assured pgamboa is 100 percent trust worthy , supportive and great communication. Was nervous about performing this task and it really couldn't be easier following videos. Worried about drilling but there is a indentation of where and super simple too. I now have some dl3 mirrors with black caps for sale if interested shot me a pm With an offer.

I've got a quick question. I have a 2015 SLE (1500) NHT with DPN.

From all I can see after 2 years of winter use in Canada, these are not heated. I know my build sheet shows heated mirrors, but then the NHT package replaces them and it also does not mention heat.

I'd like heat and power fold as well as everything I have now. Puddle lights would be a nice addition as well. Is this doable?

If I knew how to attach pictures, I'd give the RPO codes.

I wouldn't tow without them. If I didn't tow, I'd probably not want them.

in regards to towing, is there a general consensus as to when you need them? i might occasionally tow a 8 ft trailer. i wouldn't think i'd need tow mirrors for that would i?

I haven't heard of an OEM Mirror that wasn't heated. The heating element is on the same circuit as your rear window defogger. So in order to get them to heat, you need to have the rear window defogger activated.

If you are able to, pin #8 on the mirror connector is the heating element. If the mirror is not heated, this pin would be missing.

As for mirrors, GM OEM Tow Mirrors do not have a puddle lamp. Instead, they have a Cargo Lamp (Shines rearward) for increased visibility when reversing, and a park lamp (Shines forward) as a marker/clearance lamp, and of course, a turn Signal.

There is one aftermarket mirror that these features AND a puddle lamp. This mirror is from 1A Auto - Part # 1AMRP01786.

Is it an enclosed trailer? Or just a utility trailer. I don't pull them out when I pull my boat, as I can see behind me fine. But if I was pulling an 8 ft enclosed full width trailer, I would.

just one of those 4x8 HF utility trailers. My brother has one modified to hold up to 4 canoes and we occasionally take it camping.

I'm guessing the tow mirrors are more important when your vision out the back is impeded?
