LOL I forgot to answer the question on where to get GM DPN mirrors. Your cheapest place will most likely be eBay. There are tons on GM online sites. I usually order from GMPartsGiant. They are all about the same price on the online GM sites. I think GMPartsGiant has their parts fulfilled by local dealers.... unless ironically, they are from Dallas. I seemed to get parts quickly from them.

Thank you for the help. That's why I will be purchasing from you.

My truck has a 08/15 date. I'm assuming I won't need the RZY harness, but how do I know for sure?

Also, is this the correct part number for the mirrors? 23372182

These are the part #s for the DPN "Kit".

DPN Kits - Non-Power Fold
23372181 - Chrome

23372182 - Black

As for the confirming needing the RZY Harness, and easy way to tell is if you have AVF - RPO (you can look in your glove box). To be 100%, I always recommend inspection the door jamb connector (with the connector removed).

Here is a pic that shows that.

Let me know if you need any more help.

Hi pgamboa. I appreciate reading all the positive positive feedback for your efforts! Nice job!

I am interested in upgrading my 2015 GMC Sierra SLT from DL3 to 1A Auto 1AMRP01786 towing mirrors. Have you been able to just build and supply the wiring harnesses based off of configurations you have addressed in the past, or should all purchased mirrors be shipped to you? If the mirror connectors need mods - do you sell a "dongle" or a mod to address without needing the mirrors. Basically I am trying to do what I can to not ship the mirrors (if possible) - yes, yes I am trying to pinch some pennies.

Thanks.

Hey there, I have been thinking about a way to make a dongle to avoid having mirrors come my way. The issue is that there are many variations of how these aftermarket companies Pin their connections. For example, part 1AMRP01786 had the bonus puddle lamp pinned to pin 1 as opposed to the park lamp. The park lamp was a separate hardwired connection. I think their logic is that those with DL3 mirrors that want these can simply PnP. The problem with that is you would still have the park lamp circuit to hardwire. For 1AMRP01771, they have the power fold circuits as a separate hardwired connection and not pinned to the 18-pin. Why did pinned one model but the not the other? When I called, they said "we have to check with our vendor", which tells me they don't make these mirrors.

There are too many variables for me to make a one Part solution. I have made a PnP pigtail for Dual Functioning Park Lamp/Turn Signal... there are a total of 72 pins to crimp. There is a lot of labor and time to make this dongle. So even with a dongle (at an estimated launch price of $100), this is what I charge to make the modification to the mirror connector and includes testing. If I recall, 1A ships free. Shipping from me to you (UPS Ground) is ~$35-$50. I wish there was an easier but unfortunately, for PnP, this is the only way. Hope this helps.

***UPDATE***

I will be going on vacation towards the end of June (for two weeks). All open orders have been filled. For anyone looking to perform this upgrade and in need or a custom harness, I'll be building until Wednesday 6/21. I will continue to accept orders after 6/21 and will ship (in the order received) after 7/10.

GM really did complicate it. I spent 6 months figuring things out and can make it Plug and Play.

I sent a PM earlier, but thinking through this again I'll likely be ordering part number TRMRP00045 from 1A Auto. These have power adjust, heat, turn signal, marker, and the spot light. I'll check my harness, but I believe your harness covers this. I know you're going in vacation, and I'm not in a huge hurry, so I'll wait till you return to get any further details.

I just checked out these mirrors and it appears that this set is pinned into the 18-pin connector (which is good) and provides a pig tail to hardwire if necessary. Since your truck is a 2015, some early 2015 trucks may still need additional wiring. Check your glove box, if you have AVF listed as one your RPOs, you may need the additional RZY Jumper Harness. Take a look at this pic and let me know here (or via PM) if pins 9, 11, and 41 are present. If they are, then you're good and all you need is a PnP Harness from me.

I actually have a harness set ready to ship this configuration. I was testing a set of 1A Auto mirrors his weekend and had to make a set for this test.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Ah ok. Your PM said 2015. :). Should be good to go with one of my PnP harnesses. Are you looking to get OEM mirrors or after market? If aftermarket, send me a link and I'll look for any red flags.

Just completed DL8 to Gm towing mirror swap with Phil's wiring harnesses, which made the whole process incredibly simple. Whole swap out took me less than 1 hour. Ordered the harness through Phil Monday Morning arrived Wednesday. Made life very easy.
