I’m not sure if I’ve EVER seen a more detailed, thorough, and helpful, thread for any project!

Thank you so much for putting all of this together!

I have a 2018 1500 LTZ 4wd with heated and folding mirrors, and I would like to install the same with towing mirrors (heated and folding).

pgamboa do you have a post with all the harnesses you offer and their prices?

Website in the works :)

Thanks!! I can help. I also have a GM Parts Supplier that I can get these GM mirrors from at a great shipped price. PM me for more info. This will be PnP for you.

Recently upgraded my mirrors and ordered @pgamboamirror harnesses. I went all in and asked for all the options including the fold option when locking and unlocking with the key fob. Installation was easy and having his YouTube videos as reference made it a breeze. Grateful to have Phil be a part of our truck community and making these harnesses.

Ordered my DPN Power, heated, turn signal and courtesy lamp tow mirrors for my 18 LT-2 Z71.  I have the DL8 Mirrors currently.  Will I need a harness to have full functionality of the tow mirrors like turn signals and the courtesy lights?  most of the stuff I am reading is people upgrading to the Full Function power for mirrors.  Thanks in advance.

Yes - you’ll need new harnesses. Just the power adjust and heat will work. No lighting portions will work.

What gauge of wire are you using for pins #9 and #11? What type of relay are you using in the BEC?

20awg. No relays needed when landed to their factory locations.

I have a 2019 Chevy 2500 HD LTZ I upgraded from DQS Tow mirrors to the smaller DL3 mirrors (non-OEM).

Mirrors are installed and everything works correctly except for the puddle lights will only work when the headlights are on. I could not find a way to turn the puddle lights off when the headlights where on, so I cut the black wire to the puddle lights and capped it off in the mirror. Now I am getting a check engine light. The dealership told me I am throwing an Ambient Temperature Sensor Code. Any help would be greatly appreciated. New to threaded. Great thread. I read most of the comments on 2019, but didn't see anything on swapping this way.

I have a 2015 ltz with DL3 mirrors and wanting to switch to DQS mirrors. I would still need to buy the harness to have everything work properly?

Yes sir.

The CEL is likely because the DL3 mirror doesn’t have an ambient temp sensor on the passenger mirror like your factory mirror did.

If you didn’t change your harnesses, your puddle light is behaving like your running light. Which black wire did you cut? Does your turn signal still work on the mirror?

I popped the puddle light out of the mirror and cut the black wire on both puddle lights. The turn signals work on both mirrors and they fold correctly.
