Using Car Gauge Pro with GMT900

Hello all,

I have a 2010 Silverado WT CC 4x4 which is fairly new to me. Iv'e put about 8k miles on it, total mileage is 182k. I have a new ELM327 adapter and an older USB adapter which I can use to read codes with OBD Whiz or an app. I did some research and discovered that, supposedly, one can use the Car Gauge Pro app on an android device to read extended codes such as ABS, BCM, etc. I have used the app and adapter and can read basic codes, but the connection seems as though it not quite correct. I get some Body, Chassis, Powertrain, and network codes which don't seem to reference any valid GM code. Does anyone have experience with this or a similar app who can help me with the connection setting such as the correct Adapter Protocol and ATST values? Perhaps give me some gems for the app or other common connection issues.

A little background. I started getting strange electrical issues all within a few days of each other. My horn quit working, my ABS and Stabilitrak lights came on, and my CEL lit with a P0521 code. I live in Spokane WA and we've had lots of snow/rain/ice and freezing temps over the last 3 months. I shook and spun my tires yesterday and my wheel bearings(front) don't seem bad but one of my recently replaced Moog problem solver tie rods does. One of my other goals was to read my oil pressure to try and DDx the P0521 code. None of the custom pid's I've set up for the oil pressure seem to work.

Thanks!

  • 2 weeks later...

oil stayed analog for decades, just basic low warning is like a switch.

lighting is number one monster for weird triggers in places that they do not belong.

LED is a huge fix...even the timing on the engine gets faster.
