What are your goals for the system?

After talking to UPP he said there is really no modification needed to reach the 600hp goals. I have been reading up on this engine and it seems that if you wanted more that 600hp there is still not alot really needed but i have seen where people swapped out rods and pistons and replaced the valves and of course cam do reach levels of 800hp which also require transmission mods. I would like to shoot for somewhere in the middle around 700hp but i would definitely want to do the rods and pistons so that i know it is capable. I am looking for a salvage yukon at the auctions now so that i can build it up while still being able to drive my vehicle. I want to turbo it so that i can achieve maximum horsepower but retain best fuel economy while daily driving. I cant touch my yukon until the warranty is up (in just under a year) which is why i want to find a donor drivetrain yo build while i wait.

As a DD and for ease of installation, I would recommend a supercharger. But if you are stuck on a turbo system, it is doable.

I have always been a turbo guy! I think that turbos are more suitable for daily drivers than superchargers because SC'ers steal 25-35% of your engines power to make power whereas turbos are free, atleast that's always been my belief. I have gotten awesome mpg with high horsepower turbo cars. Granted that my turbo cars were 4 cylinder mopars but these cars all got better mpg as performance increased. Superchargers just add a load and kill mpg, just my opinion. The sc kits are not much less $ than the twin turbo kits are. I am stubborn!
