2003 yukon xl blend door acuator

Recommended Posts

You can try to re-sync the door operation to see if it fixes it. Under the hood in the fuse panel, pull 10 amp fuse labeled HVAC/ECAS. Leave it out for about 2 to 3 minutes and put fuse back. Start truck up and see if it reset. If not you may have to replace the actuator

The only fix I know of is a reset or replacing the Actuator. I replaced 2 of 3 in my Silverado when air would only blow out the defrost vent. It really only needed 1 but since the 2 were fairly easy to remove and replace I did both . I did some research and found Dorman units on Amazon much cheaper than buying retail from my local parts stores. I also watched a few YouTube Videos on how to replace them which helped me out a lot.

I price shopped as well. Auto Zone and Advanced Auto in my area wanted $50 for the Dorman unit. Found the same damn unit on eBay for $28.00 with free shipping. Luckily I didn't need it.

thanks everyone. I tried the fuse reset and actually seems better, but still not great. It sounds like there are at least 2 actautors in the front? Seems odd they would both break at the same time. (cold air from all front vents when heat is on). Ive seen several different videos some seem easy some require taking the whole dash out. Anyone know for my specific vehicle how hard a replacement would be?
