Same situation as you but i do have a range afm device that i run 24/7. its really loud when the truck is cold, when it was all warmed up its not so bad. i do feel like the resonance between 1600-2200 rpm sucks, i want to try another muffler in the spring as well.

What a freaking train wreck. I called autoanything and asked for a return authorization for the MBRP because i was unhappy with it, and was told by the lady with a thick foreign accent that it shouldn't be a problem even though I had it installed for a few days, she just had to submit it for authoization. So I ordered the flowmaster force 2 cat back kit, because i liked the flowmaster i had on my old truck. So the new flowmaster arrived yesterday, so I uninstalled the mbrp, and installed the flowmaster. it was much quieter than the mrbp at startup and sounded good in my spin around the block. So i brought it up on the highway, but the big block drone at 65 to 75 was just too much for this being a family cruiser. I knew my wife would complain so i just went back home (tail between my legs), uninstalled the flowmaster (with no lift mind you), and put back on the factory exhaust. 5 hours later i was numb (25 deg outside), and exhausted.

so i called autoanything for authorization to return the second exhaust as well, and was told i could not return either. Basically the second you open the box, exhaust systems become non-returnable. Maybe they should tell you that in big bold letters before you order. Even though their return policy says at worst you pay a 15% restocking fee. apparently exhaust systems are the un-written exclusion to this. so now i have $1,000 worth of brand new exhaust systems sitting in my garage that i cannot return or use.

Anyone living in western new york that wants to try one of these systems, i would accept a fair offer for either. They are basically brand new. I paid $418 for the stainless MBRP and ran it for a couple days, and $575 for the stainless Flowmaster force 2 which I put about 3 miles on.

For what it's worth I had the aluminized 3" single exit MBRP on my truck and the V4 drone sucked in town and on the highway. The tone should be about the same between the stainless and aluminized versions. Sounded great in v8 though. However, after a year I couldn't take the v4 noise anymore and decided to go back to the stock system for now.

If you have AFM disabled the exhaust system would be amazing.

My reason for getting the MBRP was also the price point and as installation difficulty goes I'd say 2 out of 10.

I couldn't take the V4 drone anymore either. I bought a Diablosport tuner to shut it off. Way better now. Sounds great all the time now. And runs way way better now, no more throttle lag.
