Hence why i asked where and how to add the switch to a non plow prepped truck. along with if the wiring is there on all trucks or not? thanks.

I was able to run a wire through the square plastic fitting on the passenger side of the center marker light. There is already a hole for a wire (used on the driver side fitting for the marker LED wire) in the fitting . I took off the marker light and drilled a hole in the back side of the marker light.  Then snaked a wire (for my emergency beacon) through that and the fitting down into the cab. I put a dab of sealant where the wire goes through the marker light hole I drilled.   The advantage of this is no drilling through the cab roof, and all the seals of the base of the light are intact.  Reattach the marker light to the cab roof and position the emergency beacon (magnetic) behind/above the marker light.

No switch = no wiring.

 

I had the truck a year and never paid attention to the switch. Found it one day and had to look it up

Yes, only on snow plow prep trucks. The switch will already be installed just in front of the interior lights switch in the top console.
