Stephen King is my body man

Victory Red

Recommended Posts

Most of the parts off the old truck are installed (or about to be installed) on the new truck. That is, except for the grill, air dam, and all the lights, since they won't fit on the GMC. I've already sold all those things to some guys at work. Sorry Tom, I know you were interested in the PIAA air dam, but the shipping would have been a pain. It was easier to sell locally.

The old truck just happened to still be there when I got the new one. The insurance company picked it up the very next day, so I was lucky to get the side by side pics. I opted for the 2WD only because that's all I could find. And I was lucky to find this one. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a reg. cab Sportside with 5.3L in victory red with charcoal interior, and loaded?

I also opted for the GMC over the new (IMHO) "UGLY" Chevy front ends.

The GMC is not so "Avalanche-ish" if you know what I mean. I still like my old Z71 better, but you can't buy a brand new one anymore. And, NO, I didn't want a used one. I got robbed of my very first brand new vehicle when the old truck got wrecked. So I'm starting over with the GMC.

No problem. I doubt I could have bought it now anyway, I'm saving up for a Predator Programmer, but it's been taking too long. I keep having little things come up that I have to take a little out of my "spare" cash to fix/replace. Not too much longer though.
