2016 Silverado LT - Fold Your DL3 Mirrors with your FOB like an LTZ&#3

Recommended Posts

Would be provided in the kit. It would connect into the X7 Slot in the X61A Junction Box like this.

Glad we were able to achieve all the upgrades you wanted to accomplish. This was a collaborative effort indeed. Awesome job!

Wait so you're saying LTZ trucks mirrors will fold with the fob? Never knew that or know how to make it happen. Anyone able to advise on this?

They will also auto down all 4 windows if you keep holding the unlock button, I'm not sure if the LTs do that as well .

LT Trims will auto roll windows down. Wish it would auto fold up :)

UPDATE: So on Friday 6/2, both my mirrors wouldn't unfold. They wouldn't unfold using the button the bezel either. The module does have fuses. I pulled the door panel off and checked all 3 fuses. All are good. We had a significant amount of rain the past few days and noticed some water inside the door panel. Since my harness was one of the 1st revisions, I didn't take note to keep the module mounted up and away from the bottom of the inside door panel. It was wet. I took it apart and found corrosion on the PCB. I know 2-3 other members who have this same module/harness who have performed this mod.

When I went to swap the harness out, I noticed the boot on the door side (in the jamb) was not seated correctly. My presumption is that water got inside the from there. This wouldn't be the first time I have had water get in the door. The very first time I pulled my door panel out to swap the speakers, I noticed the back of the speaker wet. I guess the only thing that keeps water out from the window is the gasket and that some water can get in. I guess that's why there are drain holes at the bottom.

SO - I will replace the module and will continue to test until I feel comfortable with the product before making it an offering here. The product has been operating fine since...So it seems pretty solid, but I won't feel comfortable offering this until I feel comfortable with it.

Any questions - let me know.

I think that's how I had some corrosion on my passenger side harness. The top of the harness on the body wasn't seated properly.

I'm guessing I had a pool of water in there.

For the "Fold In" and "Fold Out" command wires, are they just receiving a pulsed signal or a timed signal lasting the duration of the fold?

Also, is the signal sent to these wires a positive, negative, or a reversing polarity?

Will be preforming the DQS upgrade from the DL8 mirrors and want to be able to control when the folding happens and not link it to lock/unlock.
