Cory, is this the kit you bought from eBay? I'm interested in what you find, if it's easy to install it or not and if the output and projection is better than stock. Thanks

Ditto! Anxiously standing-by... :uhoh:

Here is a link to video on how to do it. https://youtu.be/oF06C-zEKfo

Thanks for the video but I have a 16 Silverado. Lol the eBay item says they have the D5s but this video isn't correct for me.  Maybe it'll help someone else.

I am asking the eBay seller if they have videos and if it truly is compatible with D5s

It’s a generic video how to drill the dust cap and such. You can find a video to change out the D5S on YouTube as well.

So Cory, all you get was HID bulbs and ballasts?  Are they even 35W, or higher than the 25W factory bulbs?  If they're not 35W or higher, I wouldn't even bother installing them as the Morimotos sold here are 35W D5S OEM bulbs, that have the bulb and ballast all in one piece as it should be but at 35 watts for truly more output and illumination than factory.  Before you drill, see if you can mount them temporarily and test the output and to make sure your truck does not throw any error codes.  If it's just a 25 watt HID bulbs, don't even bother, it is just going to add wiring and ballasts that you don't need, and will provide the same output as factory.

Cory U,

Those bulbs looks alot like the the lights I installed in my 2016 Silverado that I got from DistantXtremes.com. They called it the D5s Hylux System .They require a separate 50 watt ballast and a relay harness to work. Just plugging them into the stock wiring they warn will burn up the factory wiring and circuits. They are a bit harder to install but I loved them when they were in. I've got another set installed in my 2018 Silverado but had a ballast go bad. For now I'm running a factory bulb in the right side and the aftermarket upgrade in the left. When installed your oem wiring will only operate the relay for the ballast of the new bulb. There is a bit of a size difference too of the connectors from the oem light plug to the new oem input jumper connector. I made adapters to fix that problem without having to change any wiring at all. They have on the web site instructions for install. Its pretty simple. I went with it because it was Cheaper than the morimoto bulbs and I hadn't seen any reviews yet about them yet. They also say that with the 50 watt ballast upgrade the 5500K bulb puts out 4560LM per lamp and the 6500K bulb puts out 4200LM. The pics I've seen here of the Morimoto's at 35 watt look real close to what I see with mine though and with less wiring and parts.

I haven’t decided to drill or mount anything yet, and don’t wann burn up my harness. I am almost thinking of sending them back...

I just did some rechecking on the Hylux type at DistantXtremes. They do sell a 35 watt version that does not need the relays. Relays were only needed if you went with the 50 watt ballasts. Trying to run the bigger ballast is bad on the factory wiring. The 35 watt ballasts are okay.

You're going to want the relay harness then with the 55 watts from what I've read. Damage otherwise is almost guaranteed. When I installed mine I drilled only one hole for mounting the relays. Otherwise I used two sided tape and stuck the ballasts under the plastic cover over the radiator and frame work there. The relays are all you see. All else is hidden. The rubber cover over the light I used a dremel with a sanding disc to make the 7/8" hole for the grommet of the new light wiring. My Truck is a lease so I try to keep it close to oem in case I turn it at the end.
