Very nice Truck hard to be talked out of that choice, I especially like it in that Avalanche color!

 

Only thing I would consider a drawback personally is if you tow frequently the Raptor is probably not the best choice in the half ton segment for anything north of 5,000LBS, with fox float shocks and big sidewall mud terrain tires I would think towing stability and payload would be compromised somewhat.

 

If you want a truck mostly for good looks and quick performance Raptor is king of the hill though

did you know at 80 inches wide you need clearance lights?

I always thought that was about height.

 

anyway, I have six or more months of truck going lambo in a baja living in northern maine.

Raptor sure is appealing.

 

I'd have to go older for the 6.2 v8. No v6 for me EVER.

If Ford ever puts a V8 back in the Raptor I will trade it in for the V8, but until then I will just have to try and get over my dislike of V6 engines.

Back in the day 70s for me, if it wasn't big block it wasn't worth my time. Fast forward my wife buys a 2001 Acura intagra type R (still has it) when that thing hits 6K hang on. And it's no slouch before 6K. Since then small blocks and V6s are fine with me.

A V6. The ECO BUST?

According to my neighbor, an avid F*** guy who owns 3 of them they have 2 ECO BUST 150's at the local dealer(he has a long history with them) with the #2 piston sticking out the side of the block. Used as tow vehicle's regularly he said.
