From Experience, if you had to decide today, what intake kit do you buy based on quality, most bang for the buck, and most power for least noise, which one do you choose?

Help!!!!!!! :sigh:

Thanks,

They make the Air Charger, no FIPK II yet, only difference is the CARB approval. But I don't think it applies to the Envoy or Trailblazer because there are no Emissions sensors in the air intake, so I don't see how it would apply.

It is not like the old Jimmy/Blazer that had the MAF sensor in the air intake.

mcali17- check out the new post by AEM! they're looking for a test vehicle (Envoy / Trailblazer) in Cali. to use for designing an intake. You could let them borrow it for a week or 2 then get 1 for free!

I have heard the name AEM for a while now and think they have a good rep. :sigh:

Well, I just installed the AEM Brute Force intake on my '02 Silverado with the 5.3. I left a post about it in the Light Duty section of this site.

In sum: good quality parts with good instructions. Seat of the pants feel is that it provide a bit more power. It is a bit louder too, but not bad at all.

Check out their web site for graphs and technical info. Also check out this months Truckin' as they did a dyno review (found it delivered more HP and Troque).

I saw the post, but that 6,000 mile round trip from the east coast may not be worth the free intake. Now, if they want to Air Lift it out there, then we would have something to talk about. :withstupid:
