Shoot, accidentally put regular in tuned 6.2

I would dump some octane booster in immediately. I guess that is the only bad thing about the custom BB tunes you cannot change it anytime you want to! With my HyperTech Max energy 2.0 part 2000 hand held I just plug it up and in a few minutes can change back to stock or change to premium or regular fuel tune and a lot of other parameters that I want on my 2016 6.2 8spd. I really like the option for the AFM of just making it come mon above a set speed instead of turning it completely off. I just today reset my tune to regular fuel from premium fuel tune. The truck has right at 10,000 miles on it so should be broken in well by now. I have a nearly a full tank of 93 octane now so I will run that down on the regular fuel tune and then the next 1/2 tank will be regular 87 octane gas as a test. (Not trusting a full tank yet LOL) and I will have a bottle of octane booster in the truck also just in case. Not sure how the engine will react as I have always ran the 93 octane premium fuel in it and used the premium hypertech tune. We have had some fuel shortages here lately in my area due to a pipeline break issue that has made premium hard to find so I want to know 100% if the silly thing will run OK on regular fuel with the hypertech regular fuel tune in place without pinging and clanging. Will try to remember to post back in a few weeks after my experiment.

This thread delivers!!!

Nothing is going to happen to your truck, just don't beat on it like a red headed step child. Both my dad and I run 87 in our 6.2s for daily driving or out on the hwy especially in the winter months when the e85 goes to crap.
