Sounds like another useless option waiting to break to me....along w/ power assist steps, keyless push button start, 4wd on a switch or button rather than on the floor, magnaride, etc etc etc

Sounds like you should trade down to a 94 Silverado.

Lol honestly if I could do it all over again I'd save some $$$ & find a donor K-Blazed & get it custom Built w/ an LS7 & heavy duty tranny, lifted, Dana axles manual 4x4 kick ass stereo etc

Still be cheaper than our new $55k+ trucks & give you less headaches

No sense putting a stereo in it. Couldn't hear it in those old trucks anyway. Lol.

Lol While I'm not doing this right now I think you're missing what I'm saying- you do a build like that you OVERbuild it- fox shocks billet control arms & built forged LS7s w/ new valve trains etc don't break, the whole point is you'd build it not to break- now a slapped together production line Mexican built 1/2 Ton? That may break.

If I could buy a 90's truck of any make, brand new built to modern specs I totally would. Many manufacturers sell older body styles alongside new ones of the same vehicle in several countries, kinda like the 2007 vs 2007.5 trucks that happened here, but it's a permanent part of the marketing strategy. I think there'd be demand here for that, albeit the EPA.

i totally get what you're saying, but the fact is shit still manages to break.

I installed a grill light bar combo on my 17 sierra. Had to removed the shutter system. Relocated the ambient temp sensor and the servo motor from the shutters. Tried it without the servo but got a check engine light. Once I put it back in it went away. Didn't require the shutter travel stops either.

Do you have pictures of the servo a ambient temp sensor relocated? Im interested in seeing it so i know if i can do it. I also had to return my light bar kit because of these dang shutters
