Questions on colorado/canyon

Hi all,

So I've been lurking on this forum for a while and I decided to finally join as I am hell bent on purchasing either a Colorado or a canyon. But i need your help/guidance! !

 

The first is, what if any difference is there from the Colorado and the canyon? Is it just the badging?

 

What is the difference between the Z71 packaging and the off road label I see on some of the trucks?

 

 

If I am not mistaken, the Z71 comes with 4wd and a locking rear diff?

Also it sits higher and has skid plates..am I missing anything there?

 

The 5 cyl is the better engine between the two. But what if any known issues afflict this motor?

 

Why is it that I can't find a crew cab with Z71 and a manual transmission? Most of the manual transmission only seem to be paired with the 4 cyl or the 5cyl extended cab.

 

Any other information would be great!
