I think so as well and I'm gonna have it sprayed in bedliner asap to hopefully keep from changing my mind again!

If you do that you might want to space out the amp and dsp away like 1/4"  it will help with cooling

I'm going to cut away the center section behind the amp to run the wires underneath and I always use rubber bushings when I mount the amp like this so I should have good airflow.

That doesnt look like a box for 2 6.5s

? I think I have it figured out so the seat can go all the way back. I'm gonna mock it up tomorrow. Btw, I forgot to call you but will tomorrow if you're gonna be available.

Slowly but surely getting there. I installed the PAC universal bass level controller (I don't care for  how the knob doesn't match the others well so I need to find a new one) and now laying out to drill holes for the wiring.

You stole my idea with the pac knob location.

I was originally going to install it in the console but this turned out to be the perfect spot for easily reaching it.

I have something to show you.  Imgoing to have some meters like voltage, output and temp.  Ce auto electric makes a turn on relay for multiple remote wires because you canthave to many on 1 single wire so its sort of a distrobution block/power for everything with a remote turn on.  I have it from my last build

Don't know how I missed that in your thread but that is sweet! Is that just a blue ring around it or does it actually light up?

It lights up, it's blue in the picture but you an assign different colors to your tone presets and now it is a teal that matches the dash lighting exactly.

@Marv88 are you really using that little Alpine amp for your sub? I'd step it up to a PDX series

Lol! Yes I am and another shocker is I am going to power the components passively from the headunit! (contrary to what the specs say I found that the headunit amp module actually does 30 watts rms per channel which is more than enough for how loud I listen these days!)

I have been messing around with this system for a good 2 years collecting gear, changing my mind, collecting more gear, changing my mind, building half a dozen or more enclosures etc etc etc but now I have a challenge from a buddy so I gotta sh!t or get off the pot!

He doesn't believe I can build a super simple all one brand system without a processor, a sub smaller than a 10"' and passive crossovers and still get an excellent soundstage/imaging with solid midbass/good subbass. Since I already had the Alpine headunit as well as some other Alpine gear it was a no brainer which way to go. What he doesn't know is the Alpine headunit has a full crossover section with up to 24 db slopes, fully adjustable signal delay and dual 9 band parametric eq's. The dual eq is actually front/rear but I am going to use the left front channel and right rear channel so I can have separate left/right eq's to dial in the stage/imaging. He also doesn't know I am not using "run of the mill" Alpine components rather I am using a set of old school Japan spec components (direct from Japan and weren't available at US Alpine dealers) with ring radiator tweeters in pods that will mount on the dash and passive crossovers that have multiple phase/crossover point/tweeter level adjustments to compensate for the tweeters being so far from the mids.

Won't be the loudest system I have had nor have the deepest bass but it will definitely be the simplest and I have great confidence I can achieve my objectives! :D
