Where do you plan on putting the Amps and Processor?  We don't have a lot of room in our trucks

Amp will go in the lower compartment of the jump seat and the processor will go in the top compartment. IMG_1749.thumb.JPG.fd8ff907fc3483c93c11e96536a71d81.JPG

I was thinking the same thing, putting it in the lower compartment.  Not sure how much airflow these new class D amps need though

I'm gonna cut the bottom and back out of the plastic insert to allow some airflow. I'm still not sure on the sub placement. I just built the one on top of the transmission hump but not sure I want the sub showing so I'm actually working on another design right now for that spot that will fire down.

What's the top picture?

That's one of the enclosures I built for behind the seat without the face on yet.

Do you know there's a new version of that Alpine restyle kit that has Apple Carplay and Android auto?  No CD player though and a slightly smaller screen so you can use the stock trim bezel

Yes however I wanted this specific one for the DVD/CD player and I like the hdmi capabilities better than the CarPlay which has limited app use (I can mirror anything from my phone as well as have full internet access on screen using the Fire TV stick with mouse/keyboard)

BTW, I decided to keep this and just add the processor.

Marv, your Truck/sound system is looking great!

Nice vid on how to remove the OEM stereo, although I don't have that kind of patients when removing trim pieces..LOL!

You make some nice sound boxes, good skill bro!

I am  not good at all with removing delicate trim peices. And things like that. I removed all the interior trim and took the radio physically apart in about 20 minutes   its not hard

The radios are so easy to get apart in these trucks. I wish they designed new Tahoes the same way

Well theres a peice ot trim under the screen   I had to pull that peice ot trim out. Which involved physically taking the screen out and opening it up. And undoing the circuit ribbons.

If I can do that. Anyone can pull trim out in these trucks
