Marv,

is your display factory? I have the smaller non-touch but the $1,000 price tag to upgrade will be going to headers or a nice projector headlight.... I really like the sub box though. Great work sir.

Thanks Donolie and yes it is the factory display however I would give up the touchscreen in a second if I could have steering wheel controls as frequently while trying to change stations etc I will hit a bump causing me to touch the wrong area or miss the screen altogether! Btw, in case you weren't aware you have to cut out a section inside the dash where the module slides in if you want to install an aftermarket headunit  which is something I definitely wasn't willing to do!

I really live your OEM factory display but I have three fancy buttons that I've yet to figure out what they do plus the steering wheel controls, but best of all the 200mph speedo so it must be the button on the far right that will get it up to 200mph. looks like a truck on a slight downgrade with a speedo.

I was being sort of facetious, but the button on the far right, hill assist? Not sure what it's purpose is, you turn it on, I don't notice anything besides a green symbol and when you go over 5mph it will say ''for ___ to work reduce speed below 5mph" So far, nothing has allowed me to go 200 mph or turn off DRL :P or stop 'service trailer brake' from dinging 20 minutes of my 50 minute commute.

That higher speedo and the non-disableable DRLs tell me this was a Canadian spec truck.

The mystery button is downhill accent control- basically low speed cruise control.

Met up with Brandon aka Nasty from the forum here this morning and swapped his jump seat for my console at the request (insistence!) of my wife just in case we ever need to get 3 in my truck when her car wasn't available...

Those wheels. Is the chrome/stainless actual plating or a wheel skin / wheel cover?

Love this project BTW.

Thanks Grumpy! I read they are actually something called chrome clad which I was not familiar with and  basically appears to be a skin permanently attached to the steel wheel. I sold  those when I got the new wheels since I didn't have room to store them but I am trying to find another set and while searching I found they make a similar looking aftermarket skin/hubcap for the standard steel wheels.

I've seen nothing but the 'skins' local and began thinking the clad was just a dream.

When I sold mine there were numerous sets of the identical tires/wheels on Craigslist so I ended up letting them go pretty cheap. Now that I am looking for another set there are none available within the 100 mile radius I am searching and the couple of sets I found online would cost nearly double what I sold mine for once you add in shipping!

Hybrid Audio Technologies Unity U2  mids and adapters for the dash...

Awesome. I've been looking into adding some mids into my dash as my 2015 sierra didn't come with any for some reason but haven't found a whole lot on the subject. Would love to hear how these turn out.

I could be considered a bit biased since I am a Hybrid Audio Technologies Kit dealer :) however I will also be installing these in forum member Nasty''s truck soon and will ask him to give his honest impression.
