New truck prices

Looks like I will be keeping my 02 for a while. Can't justify $75k for a vehicle. It was hard enough paying $30k back in 01.

What sucks is they make you upgrade to LTZ if you want one feature, which takes the price up.

So in about 10 more years with some serious saving, I might be able to swing a new ride. But by then the price will probably be $100k or more. Just crazy!

My pickup's original price was around $35k... Auto AC, dimmed (ds) heated powerfold mirrors, rear defrost, steering wheel controls, rated to tow 9k. I like how it's all laid out inside, and I like the GMT800 platform in general.

It seems the pricing is very inflated right now, with all the financing available, why wouldn't it be? There will be some nice like new pickups on the market if the bubble pops.

Personally, if I was going to buy a brand new pickup right now, it'd be a 2500 gasser. I really like the 6 liter and the durability of the HD.

Well I got my '14 LT for the low 30s (sticker was 41) before interest and it's pretty well optioned, not fully loaded but pretty close. The high prices are really when someone wants a luxury truck, especially if you want a luxury HD diesel. People ask for more so the manufacturer adds more which adds to the price, then people complain about the price. Kind of a catch 22 I guess.

I'll just stick wwith my 2500hd 2002 hardly any rust and if you know your shit can keep this 6.0 and 4l80e for practically ever 290,000 and still going up daily. She's a beast. Getting aaround to bed lining the rockers this month before snow here in new York.

I thought things were holding stable.. the past 10 or so.

my dads 2016, it is about the same as ten years ago, with the important changes in place.

neither one of us fall into trim packages, in fact my old one was a custom. 1996 did not label them.

that was 21000 twenty years ago.

if to want to know where prices are headed..

watch the cpi index.

when SSDI and retirements etc avoid cost of living increase, that is good news for american dollar values.

Every business revolves around it..the world does too.

2017 is about 2 bucks for the average retiree. that is great news.

75k ? maybe sticker on a 2500 with a diesel before rebates.

No 1500 is going to cost that much, sticker on mine was nearly 53 grand and bought for 40,500 which was about 5 more then my 05 gmt 800 was though this truck is 5 times the truck the gmt 800's were so it kind of works out if you ask me..

When I worked at the dealer I bought my truck from someone bough a High Country Dually Duramax Crew Cab for $68K. What's funny is that not too long before that a Platinum F250 Powerstroke sold for the same price.

Only way I would trade out of my beast of an 02 is if the right priced diesel showed up. Which is highly unlikely. Too expensive I would no bull buy two rental property's before spending the money on and brand new truck. Or would get a couple muscle cars.
