Doing the 1/4 Mile

Hi all,

 

I'm new and "at large" in the performance circle and I was wondering how y'all are metering 1/4 mile times and speeds. Is there hardware available to do this? I'm not familiar with any drag strips here in Austin to attempt to do this and I'd rather spend money on performance mods and not tickets. ;)

G-tech is pretty accurate. Hard to believe their are no tracks nearby.
