Rear Parking Sensor Issues

Has anyone experienced issues with the rear parking sensors? Mine began giving an error message saying that "Park Assist Blocked" when there was nothing within range of the sensors. It also gave a message of Parking symbols unavailable and began giving false positives that there was something i was about to back into. I took to dealer, first time and they said chaffed wiring. Took back second time and they replaced the controller for the system. I have it in the third time because I get no indication that I am close to anything at all. They still have the vehicle and their last update was that it was a range issue but they weren't sure how to adjust the range of the system.
