Clparton01
I had my grandfathers blue stepside 1500 handed down to me and it's bone stock. Bone. Stock. It has the small block in it with around 40,000 miles on it. I have no idea where I even wanna start, I thought about lowering it and wheels but I don't want a big wheel and rubber band tires, yet idk if I really really want anything like torque thrusts. I want it to look more like a modern drag truck if you get what I'm saying. Also I have no idea how to make power from these 5.7s. I've been raised around fords my whole life and I'm new to chevrolets. Any suggestions? How about the interior of the truck?
Z45
Honor your grandfather and don't make him regret giving it to you by morphing it into something he would never do to it. I can just here it now, that was a real nice truck to he got hold of it. I been around long enough to have heard that many a time.

Yeah, I've thought about that and I don't want to go to crazy that's why I don't wanna go big wheels rubber band tires and all that. Dnt
Not sure what kind of budget that you are working with but if funds are available I would be tempted to build a sleeper truck.
bc-chris
here's a few pics of my '89 - maybe you'll get an idea (or 2 or 3 ) i still love this truck and don't think i'll ever be able to sell it..... redid the interior with newer seats, painted ton of parts to try and go from 37 shades of grey to 2 or 3, reupholstered the interior added a dakota digital dash (they have a new style for the truck i'd love to add), steering wheel, blue lights in the interior added a scanner and changed the hvac display colour to blue added an overhead console and put in a couple dakota digital gauges to match what's in the dash added heated seats too. put the switches on the front of the center console i have a build thread over at fullsizechevy.com..... http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forum/showthread.php?499345-The-never-ending-build-of-my-89-stepside
