LOVE the truck, but GM is letting me down...

Recommended Posts

Total BS.

People aren't happy with the vibration issue, which apparently isn't a safety issue. Should they also accept it and move on?

Does your preferred vehicle Mfg and color help in your making a vehicle purchase?

Why should the OP take such a hard depreciation hit because of a shoddy job by GM? Not to mention the resale hit he will take due to the Carfax report.

Thank you! I'm glad your seeing it from my point of view.

Vertigo, what is your experience with Crain?

I was in sales negotiations with them on 2 separate trucks (They also sell Ford) and occasions. Being as I was from out of state, their prices were pretty competitive, as well, my salesman was accommodating.

Ultimately, I found the trucks I was looking for, for a good bit less at a different dealership.

Good luck - Paint blemish are not covered under lemon law. Your first mistake was not bringing it in immediately for them to take pictures. a 50/50 split is actually a good deal but unfortunately it's still crap overall. I've got 40k+ on my truck with 2 front bumper re-paints due to the crappy paint that GM puts on them. I'm ultimately just going to wrap my truck and be done with it.

mybackground - I have been in service management for years and have worked with the manufacturers and ultimately it's the dealer call and how they want to allocate their "goodwill" money.
