A question to all the GM apoligists

Why is it that everytime someone posts on here about problems with their GM trucks they subject their self to the equlivant of a public stoning? I wonder how many GM employees are on here,I mean actually get the employee discount.. not the fake parts suppliers discount. It doesn't matter whether its about seat wear(they must be lazy or lard @#@es!!) or vibration and shakes or broken AC lines at 10,000 miles. Guys...I have owned GM products since I was 16yrs old(now 55) at least 11 new and more than quite a few low mileage used.. I have pounded my chest over the years and preached about good GM vehicles are...but as hard as it is to admit this isn't our daddies GM anymore!!. Its about the bottom line (profit is not a dirty word! ) all those bank employees who was opening fake bank accounts are saying it was due to sales pressure (then CEO receives big bonus) Guys remember these trucks are a big investments...and I know some of you pay in cash and don't believe in payments  but quite a few people have to finance these things for 5 -7 yrs and when you make that kind of commitment it can be quite upsetting when you see what kind of return you are getting on your investment! Ok boys check on my previous posts and fire away!!

BOOM your hit man .223 round between the eyes.....hahahaha so what is wrong with these new trucks? I remember when I was younger that my dad marveled that he could get 100,000 miles out of a vehicle, heck we have over a dozen late model chevy trucks at work that are well over 500,000 "very abusive" miles and still running well. Vast improvements have been made unlike the Good Ole Days when you just hoped the stupid things would last. Everyone wants all the upgrades and high technology but they do not expect to have any problems with it, that seems a bit counterintuitive?

(not easily understood in an instinctive, unconscious way. A red light for "go" and a green light for "stop" would be highly counterintuitive, for example.)

Not apologizing...just plain disagree that these trucks are a junk. I've had mine over a year and no issues at all. It's been a great vehicle.

The posters that get railed on are the ones that go beyond explaining their problem and looking for answers. They make out like every GM truck is a POS.

Then again, you're likely just trolling for reactions.

My first truck was a 70 ford 240-6 three on the tree. Wind noise from vent Windows engine noise, vibrations, all over the road bias ply tires. I loved that truck. At 60K the engine blew I put in a 289 and a hurst 3 speed on the floor I was cruising then. It was done at 100K from rust.

My 2014 is the best truck I have ever had! Most solid for sure, and that is after being dismatalled for hail repair! My whole life, eccept for a 6 month period when I had a Mazda RX6 in 1973, I have owned only GM! No apologies for that ! From 1972 to now.......only GM!

It's the internet, open forum IMO.

I belong to a few sites and it is the norm for posters to get bashed once in a while.

Soon to be 63 and only GM products since 16. :happysad:

Gentlemen...I hear you . Please go back and read my post All I'm trying to say is these are valid complaints the people are having. what are you supposed to think when you take your new truck in for a problem...don't care what it is.. it is confirmed by tech and service mgr and 2 weeks later a "zone rep " comes in and proclaims that your truck operates the way it was designed to and then dealer writes you off, then service mgr and "zone rep" goes to lunch...I have not posted about my problems I believe in over a yr. still there..to the members who have the perfect truck I'm glad, but understand if it developes problems and I'm not just talking about normal service concerns you might have a different opinion about our beloved trucks

The ones who get bashed are the ones who buy another brand of truck, yet still hang out here and post about how these trucks are pieces of shit, and every single one of them is a lemon.

I've had three of these '14+ trucks. I've been called a liar, because I don't have problems with my truck. It's a two-way street.

Pretty simple answer to your question, it is because they post the same thing that has been known about in a new thread instead of searching and posting in a proper place. "Hey guys, first post here. Anyone has a vibration or seat movement issue? What about the clicking sound at idle next to a wall, ect". After the first 50 threads it gets old and sarcasm comes in. I do it, I click thinking there might be some new info and instead I get Joe the plumber asking about the same tired question. Sometimes I will mix in some actual info or links with my sarcasm. Go to any thread about tires or lift, same answers. If I had time and interest I would become a mod and move a 100 threads a day and combine them with the proper key threads for their issues just to clean it up.

This is the same on every forum from every brand. I get a chuckle reading the F150 threads sometimes, just as many problems, just as many fans defending or sarcastic comments replying. Don't get me wrong, I am a car guy and I know Ford makes great trucks (not so sure about Dodge in many instances), I appreciate many other cars/trucks but I will continue to buy GM because I have never been let down by one and I prefer many attributes about them to the others.

I guess the next question is, what are you trying to accomplish with this thread? Since obviously you work for one of the other brands since we all apparently work for GM

Thanks for the useful post! :wtf:

It gets old when people come her, create a profile just to piss about sour grape stuff, case in point bitching about a truck built in Mexico...no real issue, just hate trucks built in Mexico or a radio that doesnt do time phase playback flawlessly, thus the truck is a lemon, or mpgs are in the mid teens...wtf GM. You get my point. Mostvrationale people undestand anything that is mass produced statiscally will have errors...all makes suffer from this. Also just because you spent $40K on something doesnt gurantee perfection. Im not a fan of bitching, griping and complaining. If you have an issue the vast majority of people here will help you solve. Dont like your truck? Go get something else. Complaining ad nausea about it here isnt goung to fix your problem and your bitching isnt going tomcause me to hate my truck and leave GM. Hate GM, go to another manufacturers site.
