Sea foam your engine?

Recommended Posts

I did it through my vacuum hose, didn't seem to do much at 50k miles. They say to run 50% gasoline/ 50% sea foam for direct injection engines

Through the vacuum line?

Yeah, through the brake booster vacuum line. I've always used it that way, it gets to all the ports better that way. You use about 1/3 of the can through the line and can dump the rest in the tank. You have to be very careful though doing it this way though, you could end up hydrolocking the engine. Don't want to dump it in, you want it to suck it out of the can and atomize it

I would not be SEA Foaming anything? Have your dealer do the SO CALLED TOP END CLEANING and let them deal with the associated problems from it if any......I have never SEA FOAMED any engine period. The boys and I all got drunk in a early 80's caprice and overheated a 305. It was low on fluid so we all took turns pissing in the radiator and pouring beers in it too!

True story and it ran after that for another 15 miles or so.........

I think sea foam products have more research in it than beer and piss. But you're right about having it done right, or twice if you prefer.
